Four years jail for attack on woman
PA Auckland An intruder, who knocked a five-month pregnant woman unconscious after breaking into her Papakura home, was yesterday sentenced to four years jail. Mr Justice Vautier, in the High Court at Auckland, told Peter John Saunders, aged 24, that the Court would take all practical steps to protect women
from being molested in
their own homes. Saunders had admitted rendering the woman unconscious, burglary and robbery. He was sentenced to four years on the charge of rendering the woman unconscious, 12 months for burglary and two years for robbery, to be served concurrently.
