Garden judging soon
Christchurch gardeners have only a few days to get their gardens ready for this year’s< Christchurch Beautifying Association street competitions. Judging of streets in the city area will begin on Monday and end on Friday. Paparua County gardens will be judged on February 14, and those in Riccarton Borough will be judged on February 17. The streets in Heathcote County will be judged on February 18 and on February 19, streets in Waimairi District.
A greater number ol streets had been selected for the competition this year, said the organiser, Mr J. F. Walsh.
The premier streets would be announced by the Mayor of Christchurch, Sir Hamish Hay, on February 21.
