NZPA-AAP Adelaide The West Indies breezed to a comfortable win over Australia in the World Series Cup cricket match at Adelaide Oval yesterday with six wickets in hand and almost five overs to spare. Set 166 to win, the West Indies finished with 169 for four with their captain, Clive Lloyd, not out 38 and Gus Logie unbeaten on 49. Logie hit the winning run in the forty-fifth over and with it picked up his first

man of the match award in the cup series. The best of the Australian bowlers yesterday was the part-timer, Allan Border, who took two for 25 from seven overs. Australia set the West Indies a modest run chase of 3.3 an over in making seven for 165. For the West Indies, Wayne Daniel and Viv Richards did the best, picking up two wickets each, Richards at a cost of just 28 runs.
