Mr Ossie Marr out of hospital
Mr Ossie Marr, the Australian horseowner who collapsed at the New Zealand Trotting Cup meeting in November, was discharged from Christchurch Hospital this week. Mr Marr became ill soon after the horse he partowns, Steel Jaw, won the New Zealand Trotting Cup at Addington. Mrs Leah Marr said yesterday that medical staff at
the hospital were pleased with his recovery but that he still had to return to the hospital each day for a check. “He is getting around a bit and is feeling quite chirpy,” said Mrs Marr. “He says the nurses and doctors at the hospital are just wonderful.” Mr Marr and his family hope to return to Australia on Tuesday.
