England v. Argentina?
NZPA-AAP London Political enemies England and Argentina could meet in an international soccer competition in Brazil next year. The English Football Association has reportedly provisionally accepted an invitation to the tournament. “We would play any countries tjiat are involved, and that includes Argentina,”
said the F.A. secretary, Mr Ted Croker. England’s captain, Bryan Robson, gave his approval to playing Argentina as part of the team’s World Cup build-up. He said, “Playing in South America has got to , be far more valuable than going to places like Australia or Canada. If we have to play Argentina, then I’m glad it is on neutral territory.”
