PSYCHIATRIC UNIT NORTHLAND BASE HOSPITAL WHANGAREI CHARGE NURSE THIS IS AN ideal opportunity for a nurse experienced in psychiatric nursing to lead a team of qualified nurses through a period of change resulting from the development of a larger refurbished unit which will offer Improved facilities for patient care, and from the replacement of students in service with qualified nurses. A nurse with broad experience in psychiatric nursing, leadership skill and ability and a highly motivated, self-directed person would be most acceptable for this post. Minimum qualifications R.C.N. or R.G.N. and R.P.N. with at least 2 years post-basic experience in acute psychiatric nursing care. Post-basic qualifications are desirable and applicants without such must be prepared to undertake future post-basic study. Applicants with only R.P.N. qualification who already hold a nursing diploma or degree also considered. Qualifications: Electrical Technician with Advanced Trade Certificate. Alternatively, Advanced Trade Certificates in two areas of electrical technology.
