A nurse with broad experience in psychiatric nursing, leadership skill and ability and a highly motivated, self-directed person would be most acceptable for this post. Minimum qualifications R.C.N. or R.G.N. and R.P.N. with at least 2 years post-basic experience in acute psychiatric nursing care. Post-basic qualifications are desirable and applicants without such must be prepared to undertake future post-basic study.
