The hospital has three physicians in addition to three based at Napier Hospital. The appointee would be required to work closely with the general physicians at these hospitals, and with other agencies in the district which provide services for the elderly. The Board, which has a catchment population of 125,000, has adopted a development plan to provide an extension of services in the areas of assessment/rehabllltation, day centres for the elderly and for psychogerlatric care.
