Lead-free petrol move NZPA Sydney
New South Wales will be the first Australian state to introduce lead-free petrol when it brings in a voluntary system in two years.
The petrol will cost half a cent a litre more than super grade.
The state Government has also ruled that all vehicles will, by law, be required to be fitted with catalytic converters to eliminate exhaust uollution.
