Public may sign
PA Wellington Books of Condolence for the late Sir Keith Holyoake will be open for the public to sign at district offices of the Internal Affairs Departments in Auckland, Rotorua, Christchurch, and Dunedin. In Wellington, a Book of Condolence will be open at Parliament House in the Legislative Chamber where Sir Keith’s body will lie in state next week before the State funeral on Tuesday. All books will be available for signing from 9 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday of next week. The president of Federated Farmers, Mr W. R. Storey, said yesterday that the farming industry had been enriched by Sir
Keith’s hard work, both as a member of the federation and of Parliament. Sir Keith had been made a life member of Federated Farmers, and all New Zealand farmers would mourn the loss of a friend and colleague, Mr Storey said.
