Date set for conference
PA Wellington A conference to identify market opportunities in the Pacific and establish priority targets for the development of New Zealand trade and investment strategies will be held in Wellington in February. It will bring together executives from companies engaged in business in the Pacific, Government officials, and business figures from several Pacific rim nations.
Details have been announced by Mr Hugh
Fletcher, chairman of the New Zealand committee of the Pacific Basin Economic Council, which is sponsoring the conference. "With the tremendous growth in industrial and technological development now anticipated in the Pacific region during the next two decades or so, it is essential that New Zealand position itself to take maximum advantage of this activity and not be left out through lack of a coherent national strategy." said Mr Fletcher.
