Disputes fast track mooted
PA Wellington Fast-track procedures should be built into the Industrial Law Reform Bill when disputes involve perishable goods worth potential export dollars, according to an agricultural group. The eleventh-hour call has come from the Agricultural Employers Association which includes under its umbrella sheepfarmers, the Fruit Federation, and fruit, vegetable, and tobacco growers. The association’s chairman, Mr Peter Elworthy, said it had asked the Minister of Labour, Mr Bolger, this week to include a provision which would speed up the disputes process when perishable goods were involved.
