Cabin crew numbers
By
LES BLOXHAM
Because of a misunderstanding, information provided by Quantas regarding cabin crew numbers for inclusion in a report on this page yesterday was incorrect.
This resulted in a wrong impression being given in the table of comparative cabin crew numbers in the report on Air New Zealand’s industrial problems with its international cabin crews.
The figure of 17, given by Qantas, referred to its total crew in a Boeing 7478. The number of cabin crew is, in fact, 14. In fairness to the other airlines, the corrected table is printed below:
Airlines Seats Crew Air N.Z. 420 15 Qantas 433 14 Cathay Pacific 402 17 British Air 400 13 Singapore Air 392 18 Pan American 392 14
