PA Wellington No date had yet been set for the end of the Parliamentary session, said the Prime Minister, Mr Muldoon, yestersday.
He said that he had “no idea” about it. “It might be next week, or the week after,” he said.
It was generally expected that the House would rise on December 16, but yesterday the Government announced its intention to
bring in several new measures next week.
Debate on the committal stages of the Industrial Law Reform Bill, expected to be very long, was meant to start yesterday but has been deferred until this morning because of the death of Sir Keith Holyoake.
