Fears for safety of woman

Fears are held for the safety of an Ashburton woman missing from her home since Wednesday night. She is Elizabeth Ann Steel, aged 40, married, who left her Tinwald home about 5 p.m. on Wednesday in a depressed state, said SeniorSergeant W. J. Porter, of the Ashburton police. She was driving a 1977 fawn Mini, registration number IR7O. It was not known where she was going. Mrs Steel is 165 cm tall and of heavy build, with brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen she was wearing black slacks and a white knitted top.
