Ossie Marr ‘comfortable’
Mr Ossie Marr, the Australian horseowner who collapsed in the birdcage at Addington Raceway on Tuesday, was last evening seriously ill at The Princess Margaret Hospital. However, a hospital spokesman said Mr Marr, aged 70, of Sydney, was “quite comfortable.” He was transferred from Christchurch Hospital to The Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday. Mr Marr is a part-owner of Steel Jaw, the horse which won the New Zealand Cup. He collapsed minutes after receiving the trophy attached to the race.
