All councillors serve
All of Waimairi’s 13 councillors will serve on each of the three main District Council committees. Effectively the full council will attend each committee meeting. Recommendations wil be made for the rubber-stamp of the monthly council meeting. At the council’s annual meeting on Thursday even-
ing all councillors indicated their interest in being on the finance and by-laws committee, the works, reserves, and traffic committee, and the town planning committee. It was the first time all councillors had been represented on each Waimairi committee, said the District Clerk, Mr J. Reid.
