Jail sentences for drug offences
PA Wellington A three-year jail sentence and forfeiture of $16,000 was imposed in the High Court at Wellington yesterday on Christopher Robert Naylor on cannabis charges. Naylor had pleaded guilty to three charges of supplying cannabis resin and one of possession for supply. Gerard Anthony Keating, aged 22, a photographer,
who pleaded guilty to four charges of supplying cannabis resin, five of offering to supply and two of possession for supply, was sentenced to two years jail. Mr Justice Greig said Naylor might be described as the wholesaler and the Slier so that Keating 1 be a street dealer.
Sales took place twice to an undercover policeman, he said.
