Three bare lots at Waikari were sold at auction on September 23 and a fourth was passed in. The first, comprising 12ha, fetched $27,000. It has a G.V. (1979) of $lB,OOO. The second, 7.6 ha with a G.V. of $16,300, went for $24,000 as did the third, the smallest of 6.4 ha. It has a G.V. of $16,700.

The fourth lot, at 16.6 ha with a G.V. of $43,650, was passed in at $46,500.

The auctioneer, Mr J. Sluis, of Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd, said that about 25 people attended the sale.

A 1183 sq m section at 26 Idris Road in Fendalton containing a house which might be removed or restored, was passed in at auction on September 23 for $92,500. The property has a GV (1981) of $35,000 and has been subdivided into two lots although it is under one title.

The house has three bedrooms, two living rooms and a separate dining room. The auctioneer, Mr P. Alexander, of Sherris and Robertson, Ltd, said about 20 people attended the

auction and that a private sale was being negotiated. A three bedroom bungalow at 20 Cheltenham Street in Merivale was sold at auction on September 15 for $55,000.

The property, including a 12.7 perch section, has a G.V. (1979) of $23,500. The auctioneer, Mr Peter Cook of W. E. Simes and Co., Lid, said that the house was in need of some redecoration, but that it was in “solid” condition.

A two storey family home with a self-contained one bedroom flat upstairs, at 100 Hawke Street, was passed in at auction on September 14 for $82,000. The property, which

might be converted back into a single residence and includes a 1477 sq m section, has a G.V. (1979) of $37,500.

It was auctioned by Mr Graham White of St Albans Real Estate, Ltd, who said that about 15 people attended.

A three bedroom weatherboard home at 173 Palmers Road in North Brighton was passed in at auction on September 17 for $71,000.

The property, including a large garage and a 1123 sq m section, has a G.V. (1979) of about $22,500. It was auctioned by Mr Peter Rookes of David Murray Real Estate.
