Three hit by car
Three persons were admitted to Christchurch Hospital when they were struck by a car at the comer of Wharenui Road and Blenheim Road on Saturday evening. One of the pedestrians, Carol Van Der Zwet, was transferred to Dunedin Hospital yesterday afternoon. Her condition is reported as serious.
Ronette Faith Kelly, aged 20, is reported in a
moderately serious condition, with head injuries. The third pedestrian struck, William George Webb, aged 26, was admitted with head and lower limb injuries. He is reported in a serious condition. The accident happened outside the Blenheim Road Motor Inn, at 11.45 p.m. The three may have been pushing a car when struck by a passing car.
