BEST BETS
N.Z. METRO BRAEDOON (Race 3), b g, 4yrs, by Noodlum—Classiebawn; trained at Blenheim by P. N. Hope. Narrowly beaten by Ixjpez Mac Faber in the corresponding race last Saturday after being a shade late working clear. Should be more than a match for this lot. PAKURANGA McGINTY (Race 9), ch h, 4yrs, by One Pound Sterling—Ernader; trained at Takanini bv C. M. Jillings. Brilliant galloper resuming. Has been working impressively and capable of beating this field first-up. WANGANUI RETSINA (Race 8), ch c, 3yrs, by Husha—Chablis; trained at Bulls by M. B. Andrews and B. R. Lewis. One of last season’s top two-year-olds which made a promising resumption at New Plymouth earlief this month. Sure to be-improved with the outing and should be untroubled to win this.
