Crusader prospect
The directors of Crusader Minerals, N.Z., Ltd, announce that the company has secured a prospecting agreement over the Komata Mine, formerly the thirdlargest producer in the Hauraki Goldfield, producing 534,000 ounces of gold-silver bullion between 1891 and 1913. Komata is situated 9 kilometres north-east of Waihi and only 5 kilometres south-east of the company’s
Maratoto mill complex. Under the agreement Crusader has exclusive prospecting rights for a term of three years, together with an option to purchase the property, which is a granted mining licence. Fieldwork is scheduled to commence shortly. No geophysics or diamond drilling has hitherto been conducted over this property.
