P.S.I.S. control move?

PA Wellington Moves to return control of the Public Service Investment Society to members should take place before the end of the year, according to the president of the Public Service Association, Mr Colin Hicks. “We believe the climate is such that before the end of the year we think there will be some movement to return some of the management of the P.S.I.S. back to members,” he said.

Talks with the statutory management committee, mainly on the society’s rules and constitution, seemed to indicate that such moves were possible. The society was placed under the control of a statutory manager, Mr Bob Stannard, four years ago. Mr Stannard said the handing back of the society to membership control was not imminent, and he would not be more specific.
