Conciliator files suit
PA. Palmerston North The Meat Workers’ Union’s West Coast (North Island) branch president, Mr Roger Middlemass, is being sued for $lOO,OOO by an industrial conciliator, Mr Len Fortune of Christchurch.
A warrant to sue and a writ of summons and statement of claim were filed at the High Court at Palmerston North this week. The writ named Mr Middlemass as first defendant, and the New Zealand Meat Workers’ Union as second defendant.
