Radio jamming
Sir,—l was dismayed to learn recently of the continual “jamming” by the Soviet Union of free radio broadcasts. An international conference last year drew attention to the jamming and suppression of Radio Canada, Sweden and Radio Europe, as well as the scrambling of the 8.8. C. broadcast? by the Soviet socialists. This practice is against international law. Its continuance makes a mockery of Western tolerance and patience when dealing vjjth the Russians.
One wonders how M. Creel and his colleagues would rationalise these actions against Russian citizens?— Yours, etc., P. FRAEMOHS. July 14, 1983.
