Steel prediction
The chairman of Stateowned British Steel, Mr lan MacGregor, has predicted that the firm should break even by March, 1984, but warned that more job cuts lay ahead. Mr MacGregor, a Scottish-born American citizen said that his break-even forecast depended on sterling remaining at present levels and on strict level quotaAenforcement by the European Community.— London.
