NZPA staff correspondent Bristol New Zealand’s three-day cricket game against Gloucestershire petered out to a tame draw here as the county batsmen staged a dogged rearguard action. At stumps following another sultry day, Gloucestershire had made 305 for eight in its second innings after trailing by 218 on the first innings. For the New Zealanders, there was the mortification of failing for the second consecutive county game to press home the overwhelming advantage established by their first-innings batting.
