MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES FOR 1983/84 PUBLIC notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 52 of the Rating Act 1957 and amendments that at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on June 27, 1983 the Mount Herbert County Council resolved as follows: Under the provisions of Section 136 of the Local Government Amendment Act (No. 3) 1977, a General Rate of 0.46852 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the County of Mount Herbert. 1. The said rates to be due and payable to the Mount Herbert County Council I Treasurer on the 12th day of August, 1983 at the County Office, corner London and Canterbury Streets, Lyttelton. 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 70 of the Rating Act 1967 a rebate of 5 per cent shall be allowed on County General Rates paid on or before September 12, 1983. 3. Pursuant to the provisions of section 71 of the Rating Act 1967 an additional charge of 10 per cent shall be added to all County General Rates unpaid at the expiration of six months from the assessment thereof; the last date for payment of rates without penalty will be the 13th day of February, 1984. This resolution will be con- ■ firmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Rooms, Church Bay, on Monday, July 25, 1983, commencing at 1.30 p.m. The valuation roll and rate records of the Mount Herbert .
