Grant Forbes, the Wharenui and New Zealand swimmer, limbers up at the start of training at the Wharenui pool last evening. This was Forbes’ last training in the pool for several weeks. This week-end he will compete in the New Zealand winter championships in Lower Hutt and, on Tuesday, Forbes will leave for three weeks of training in the United States and competition that includes swimming in the American championships at Clovis, near Fresno, from August 3 to 6.
