Woman dies in flat fire
An elderly woman died in a fire in an Oamaru pensioner flat on Saturday morning. She was Stella Agnes Tonkin, aged 85, of Clare Street,
Oamaru. The police said she was found dead when firemen entered her flat. The cause of her death would not be known until after a postmortem.
