Eleven members of the Highway 61 motor-cycle group, in the District Court yesterday, had charges of unlawful assembly arising from events outside the District Court on April 25, after the shooting of two of their members two days before, dismissed by Judge Palmer. He also held that the
police had unlawfully taken one of the defendants into custody, and awarded him costs of $2OO towards his legal expenses. After the charges were dismissed one of the defendants thanked the judge on behalf of the Highway 61 members, for a “fair trial.” Report, page 18
