Rent-freeze charge
PA Auckland A police sergeant will be prosecuted under the rentfreeze regulations after he allegedly evicted a family from a house he owned for refusing to pay a higher rent. Six charges have been filed in the District Court at
Auckland against Sergeant Jeffrey Neville Holloway. The case is due to be heard on July 12. The former tenants of his house in New Windsor Road, Avondale, complained to the Housing Corporation, saying they were paying $4O a week more than the previous tenants.
