Mr Highet to open conference
PA Napier The New Zealand Trotting Conference will be opened by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Highet, in Napier tomorrow evening. Officials, delegates and observers from the country’s 58 trotting clubs will attend the conference along with professional reinsmen and trainers. It is the first time professionals have participated in conference proceedings, after the rules were changed at last year’s conference in Dunedin.
