The company is a small, autonomously operated subsidiary of a major Christchurch-based public company, and is located in a pleasant rural township, central to major population areas and recreational arenas. Good quality housing is available, together with primary and secondary schooling facilities. The company is a long established manufacturer and supplier of a specialised product to industry and is currently engaged in significant extensions to its plant and facilities. The position reports to the General Manager, and requires a qualified Accountant who has had sound experience in either corporate or Chartered Accounting environments, and who is adaptable and energetic, with the leadership ability to initiate further development of accounting procedures with the support of a small clerical staff. Responsibilities will be progressively transferred to the appointee, and ■ the opportunity of becoming Company Secretary should eventuate.
