$90,000 for appeal
Almost $90,000 was raised in Canterbury for the annual Crippled Children Society appeal during a week featuring the society’s activities, according to the branch manager of the Canterbury and West Coast area, Mr Robert Mitchell. A total of $105,000 was collected in Canterbury and Westland, including Ashburton. Of this, $89,500 was given in the Canterbury area.
