Fourth medal for canoeists

NZPA-Reuter Duisberg, West Germany Two New Zealand canoeists, Alan Thompson and Paul McDonald, won a bronze medal in the twoman kayak K2 500 m event on the second day of an international regatta in Duisberg, West Germany, yesterday. The pair came home third behind Swedish and West German pairs.

The medal was the fourth for New Zealand at the regatta, which is part of their build-up for next month’s world championships in Finland.
