21 killed
Twenty-one passengers were killed when fireworks set off a fire in a bus near Shanti Niketan, 150 km northwest of Calcutta, the United News of India quoted officials as saying. Seventeen passengers were hospitalised, three of them in critical condition. Some of the 100 people on board were carrying crates of .fireworks and the fire apparently began when some firecrackers exploded. — New Delhi.
