Soccer prize money
The Hertz Soccer League winner will receive $2500 this season, under the new sponsorship for the competition announced recently. This is $750 more than the winner last winter won. The league runners-up will get $l5OO while the runners-up in both the northern and southern
zones, of the competition will pick up $3OO apiece. In addition. Hertz Rent-a-Car have supplied gear bags to each of the 20 teams taking part in the league. The total sponsorship comes to $6OOO, $2OOO more than the amount put forward for the 1982 competition.
