Over and out ...
The Viking 1 space probe which for nearly five years has been sitting on the Plain of Gold on Mars, has sent its last signals. The robot, launched on July 20, 1976, can be considered as lost, said National Aeronautics and Space Administration. But it was noted that in no way was Viking 1 a failure for it operated far in excess of its 90 days minimum life expectancy. — Washington.
