Rama dead
PA Auckland The well-performed mare, Rama, has died while arrangements were being made for her sale to Australian interests.
Her owner, Mr Dennis Bishop, said yesterday the cause of Rama’s death would not be known until the results of an autopsy became available. The Takanini trainer, Colin Jillings, developed Rama into a capable middle-distance runner whose wins included the A.R.C. Nathan’s Memorial, A.J.C. Wells Handicap and W.R.C. Terrance Regency Handicap.
