80km ride to Hodgkinson
D. Hodgkinson won the Johnnie Walker Cup for the second successive year in the 80km endurance horse ride at Woodstock Downs, Oxford, on Saturday. However, Hodgkinson had little to spare in the open event. K. Daniels finished second and was only one second behind in a time of 4 hours 20min 51s. Third placing went to B. Fisher in a time of 5 hours Stain 20s.
Placings in the intermediate event over 40km were.— J. Williams, 1 hour 53min 51s, 1; L. Nisbett, 1:56:20, 2; T. Cutting and S. Hay 2:3:19, equal 3.
