Diaries ‘forgeries’
NZPA-Reuter Bonn The West German Government said yesterday that it had examined three volumes of diaries said to have been written by Adolf Hitler and found them to be forgeries. The Interior Ministry said that the Federal Criminal Police Office had found that the materials used to produce the diaries stemmed from the post-World War II period. The diaries were obtained by the West German magazine “Stem,” which has begun publishing them. Extracts have also appeared in “The Sunday Times.”
