Women’s golf teams
PA Wellington The Russell Grace Cup winner. Bay of Plenty, not surprisingly dominates the North Island women’s golf team, named along with its South Island counterpart for the annual inter-island clash at Christchurch in October. After pulling off its third successive Russell Grace victory at the Heretaunga course on Thursday there was little doubt that the strong northern side would provide the heart of the North Island selection. The Bay of PlentyThames Valley captain,
Brenda Rhodes, will lead the North Island team during the tournament at the Harewood club and she will be opposed by her fellow international, Liz Douglas, of Southland, at the head of South Island. The teams are.— North Island: J. Arnold, K. Carroll, J. Queenan, B. Rhodes (captain), D. Seiringer, K. Young. Reserves: J. Little, P. Meyer. South Island: R. Boniface, L. Douglas (captain), S. Duncan, D. Randell, J. Ross, J. Scandrett. Reserves: M. Sparrow, M. Irvine.
