Left wing ‘dominant’
PA Wellington The Prime Minister, Mr Muldoon, told Parliament that the Left wing had emerged dominant at the Federation of Labour’s annual conference. “The Federation of Labour has clearly shown that it has swung to the Left. It was the vote of the Left wing that elected Sonja Davies as vice-president.” Speaking of the F.O.L. president, Mr W. J. Knox, and a fellow trade unionist, Mr R. J. Campbell, whom he referred to as an “undercover Communist,” Mr Muldoon said, “These are the people who walk arm in arm with the Leader of the Opposition and the Parliamentary Labour Party.
