Peter Cunningham set a course record of 71 for the new layout at McLeans Island in that club’s open golf tournament on Sunday. Cunningham, however, lost the senior 36-hole gross title after a play-off. Leading gross scores:— Senior.—D. Lavery, 151 won a play-off with P. Cunningham; W. Hall, 152. Intermediate: G. Bean, 167: M. Rutledge, 169; R. Lindsay, 172. Junior: R. Grieve, 175; D. Gibson. 178; K. McLeod, 182.
