Bishopscourt
Sir, — Yesterday I was asked to give a Radio New Zealand interview about the campaign that is being fought against the selling of Bishopscourt. I am sad that I did not put over better what I wanted to say. May I sir, through you, say that I believe we are fighting for the life of the Church in Christchurch today — not only the Anglican Church but all the churches which were founded by the early settlers. I am sure we are coming together in this. A bishop needs a home and a home and surroundings equal to the high office which he holds. — Yours, etc., D. A. HENNESSY. March 3, 1983.
