Suitability again at long odds

PA • Hamilton Suitability proved his Te Aroha success was no fluke when outstayed his rivals to win the Enderley Handicap at Te Rapa yesterday. The Te Awamutu-trained gelding caused a big upset when he won at long odds at Te Aroha early this month. His win was only-in moderate highweight company and, in spite of a sound fifth in the meantime at Awapuni. Suitability was allowed to start at long odds again. Ridden by Greg Childs. Suitability was never more than three lengths from the pacemaker Young Power. After going , keenly early, he looked to be only battling on the home turn. However, he suddenly improved 300 metres out and quickly gathered in the leader to run on strongly and finish half a length clear. Mutual finished strongly down the extreme outside for second, a neck in front of the outsider, Demas, which was also making ground. Reggae maintaned her fine record with a gallant win the Eureka handicap, which completed the T.A.B. double. Reggae equalled the track record over 1000 metres of 57.79 which Ebony Belle had posted earlier this season.
