/JX Ministry of Works mV and Development WATER AND SOIL CONSERVATION ACT 1967 VARIATION TO CROWN WATER RIGHT 493 WAIAU PLAINS IRRIGATION SCHEME PUBLIC NOTIFICATION IS hereby given that pursuant to Section 248 of the above Act the National Water and Soil Conservation Authority on December 6,1982, resolved subject to certain conditions, to grant a variation to the Minister of Works and Development to the following right. CROWN WATER RIGHT 493 The right to discharge 30,240 cubic metres per day of bywash at a maximum rate of 0.35 cubic metres per second from distribution race 6 into the Pahau River at or about map reference 561:192450. This right was amended as follows: (1) The maximum allowable quantity of discharge was increased to 60.480 cubic metres per day at a maximum rate of 0.7 cubic metres per second. (2) The location of the discharge point was changed from 861:192450 to 561:179461. Copies ot the Authority’s decision including the conditions attached may be perused at the office of the Ministry of Works and Development, 202 Cashel Street, Christchurch.
