MANAGER THE DEPARTMENT is committed to a number of extensive technological and procedural changes which entail the creation of this new position. The appointee will be responsible for the coordination of the Department’s E.D.P. Functions. In the first year the successful applicant will be responsible for enhancing and further developing existing management information systems. In the second year the appointee may be required to control and direct the operational aspects of all the Department’s E.D.P. functions. Responsibilities will include the: — co-ordinating of departmental data processing/ phototypesetting activities, — integration of the E.D.P. business plan into the Departments Corporate Plan, representing the Department on all E.D.P. matters. The appointee would be expected to have extensive experience in computer programming, system analysis, operating systems and application software. An appropriate degree or relevant qualification would be desirable. Experience in preparing submissions, technical reports and speciications is desirable as the person.would be expected to represent the Department at a senior level.
