Body found off Oakura
PA Wellington A male body was recovered 16km off the north Taranaki coast yesterday, but has not been positively identified. Senior-Sergeant D. J. Webby said that two New Plymouth fishermen found the body floating off Oakura Beach. The discovery was made while a search was
still in progress for two men still missing after the 5.5 m cabin cruiser Wakatere failed to return from a fishing trip on February 6. The missing men are John Adamson, aged 33. and Brian Widt. aged 25.
The bodies of the other two men in the boat. Keith Furmage and Laurie Dodd, have alreadv been found.
