Disco for fire victims
An 11-hour disco will be held at the Horticultural Hall today to raise money for the Australian fire disaster fund. The disco will start at 2 p.m. and run until 1 am. Taped music will be played and a $3 admission fee charged. The disco will be supervised.
Mr Paul Foulds. of Christchurch. is organising the event, with help from service clubs.
Mr Foulds said that he saw a disco as an effective way of raising money and hoped thousands of young people would agree.
